Robert is both the son of a retired pilot of the U.S. Marine Corps and of a small-business owner specializing in property management. As a result of his father’s military service, Robert spent much of his childhood moving around the country and has lived in Texas, New Jersey, Louisiana, Florida, and most recently, Washington. He has always been fascinated by business, economics, and law, interests which align perfectly with the nuances of tax compliance and consulting. He completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Florida State University in the state capitol. On a trip to Washington, he fell in love with the natural beauty of the area and decided to move from Florida to Washington. Robert completed his Masters in Taxation at the University of Washington, and shortly thereafter earned his CPA license after completing the rigorous examination and experiential requirements. Immediately before joining Multop Financial, Robert spent two years with a multi-national public accounting firm in Seattle where he performed tax compliance and consulting duties on a range of client types (business, individual, fiduciary).
In his spare time, he enjoys reading about personal finance, economics, U.S. history, and current events. He can also regularly be found enjoying the natural beauty of Washington, whether on hikes in the mountains or walks in town. He is recently engaged and is looking forward to planning a wedding with his partner in life, Mari. Robert and Mari share their home with a large all-black German Shepherd that can never have enough attention. As a new member of Multop Financial, he looks forward to advancing the stellar reputation of the enterprise by serving existing and new clients with exemplary service and attention.
